This upgrade is part of the Technical Improvement Program (TIP); it converts the discharge conveyor from a hydraulic motor to an electric motor. This conversion consists of a 1.5HP gear motor and 2HP frequency drive. The drive is mounted into the existing enclosure (see Notes on page 2) along with other enclosure devices such as relays, circuit breakers, potentiometers, etc. The machine must already have an electrical drive conversion enclosure. If this is not the case, then it must be purchased separately along with this TIP.
The conveyor is driven with a supplied new roller chain and taperlock bushings. Also, this conversion requires some new guards in order to protect the exposed rotating components. Some of the guards may require on-site modifications for proper fitting.
