Pemco packaging machine Model 34, 34HS, 37HS.Description of Improvement
This upgrade is part of the Technical Improvement Program (TIP); it will separate the functionality of the gripper
movement away from the overhead drive. At the end of the conversion, the gripper functionality will be done by servo control, and there will be no mechanical link between the overhead and the front gripper. The timing of the gripper will be done through the touch screen interface. As such this TIP will eliminate several mechanical parts along with several wear and tear parts. The speed compensation will be done within the PLC program to ensure proper timing.
